Drum Circle: The Interlocking Grooves of El Cascabel!!

Jefferson Street Parade Band Drum CircleJefferson Street Parade Band’s tenor Sax player Dylan Maloney has studied Son Jarocho folk music near Veracruz, Mexico, for several years. Last fall, Dylan brought back and arranged a beautiful track called El Cascabel!

At 2:30 pm, near the basketball court, Jack, Kevin and Ben, and the JSPB drum line will teach anyone interested in learning to play the interlocking grooves of El Cascabel. They’ll bring some extra percussion instruments, but please feel free to bring your own noise-making toys to participate.

The band will follow the drum circle with a fun parade through the park followed by a short concert on the NextEra Energy Main Stage at 3:30 pm. Click for more information on the Jefferson Street Parade Band or visit them on Facebook
