Yoga on the Hill

Tina Drew Yoga 2016

Would you like to like to add a little health and wellness to your Folk Fest experience? Join Tina Drew on the hillside high above the Main Stage lawn for a yoga session from 3:30 pm to about 4:15 pm. Open to anyone at any age or level of fitness, the session will include some basic yoga exercises for wellness of mind, body, and spirit. Bring a blanket or a yoga mat and a bottle of water.

Bio: A local leader in healthier living, Tina has owned Fire Horse Yoga, Massage, and Wellness Studio since January 2008 and has taught classes in Kundalini, Hatha, and Vinyasa Yoga as well as meditation. As a preteen, to correct scoliosis, Tina benefitted from prescribed yoga exercises. Trained in Kundalini Yoga from Ferdinand native Phil Barth, previous owner of Fire Horse, she has taught yoga as a personal practice for the past 22 years. Through breathing, meditation, and yoga postures, she has discovered the stress-relieving benefits of yoga, leading people to a calmer, focused mind. A certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT), Tina is enthusiastic about helping people use yoga and meditation as a tool to improve their well-being and promote more awareness. Whether for stress relief, physical and/or mental capabilities, she is excited about the benefits yoga and meditation can provide for anyone at any age or level of fitness.
