Beau Troesch is an up-and-coming acoustic singer-songwriter fusing folk music with rock-and-roll overtones and he’s beginning to build quite a loyal and local following in the Dubois County-area and well beyond.  This kid is a talent and, with a little more practice, luck, etc., he could be a tour de force.

While the influences of Neil Young and Bob Dylan are obvious, rhythm conscious fills and choruses also reveal a fascination with contemporary roots and reggae musicians from around the globe.  Regardless of the musical style, however, Troesch quickly alternates from carefree, tongue-twisting lyrics to verses that unearth a much darker side in his songwriting.  “My style is not to preach or necessarily always send a message, but to evoke an emotion, whether it be slightly cynical or obnoxiously upbeat and happy.”

Troesch comes from a family loaded with musicians, including grandparents, uncles, and cousins, making it no surprise he hasn’t stopped playing since picking up an old 70’s model acoustic at 16.  “The first step was getting good enough to even play at a family holiday party—but getting the opportunity to play with some of the country’s finest folk musicians—that’s a dream come true.”

Beau Troesch will perform from 12 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
