Ken Barnes is a nationally published writer. A member of Hoosier Outdoor Writers and contributor for several magazines, Ken has been an outdoor columnist in two Indiana counties and has had wildlife segments aired on local and national television. A self-taught naturalist, he is founder and president of the Golden Sparrow Nature Society, which meets monthly in the Ferdinand area. 
Ken is also a published poet and author. Fascinated with nature since childhood, Ken will lead nature enthusiasts of all ages on a nature walk through the wooded trails of Ferdinand’s beautiful 18th Street Park.
The Golden Sparrow Nature Society Nature Walk will take place from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Participants should plan on meeting at the Golden Sparrow Nature Club’s booth in the market.
