The RiverTown Storytellers at the River’s Bend is a group of people dedicated to the art of storytelling.

They actively:

  • Promote excellence in storytelling.
  • Increase public awareness of storytelling as an art form and educational tool.
  • Provide opportunities to participate in storytelling activities.

Gary WittmanGary Wittmann

 Be part of Gary’s “Circle of Stories” as he weaves the magic of words and music into a storytelling concert.  He tells ghost stories, family tales, world folk tales, musical stories, religious tellings, and songs–all with audience participation and humor.

 

 

 

 

  Tammy Cole

 Tammy makes a story come alive with costumes, props, and dramatic interpretation.  Take your pick from multicultural stories, creepy-crawly ones, or historical reenactments.  There’s always a thread of light-heartedness woven through theem all.

 

 

 

 

 

  Barbara Klamer

  

 Barbara has delighted young children with storytelling humor for years while teaching elementary school.  Her stories keep even the youngest listener excited and begging for more.  Folk tales truly come alive with her presentation!

 

 

 

 

Linda Spillman Burns

 

Linda has been sharing stories with audiences both young and old for many years.  Her repertoire includes a wide variety of stories for all occasions and all ages.  Tales for children often include puppets, musical instruments, paper folding and string stories, while older audiences will delight in folk tales, family tales, and stories from around the world.
